Easy Guide to Applying Your SFA Patch
Applying this patch is very simple and takes only a few minutes. First, preheat your household iron to the highest cotton setting. Next, place the Scotland logo on your clean jacket, hoodie, or bag. After that, cover the embroidery with a thin cloth and press firmly for 35 seconds. Finally, let the adhesive cool down completely. As a result, your patch will have a permanent and strong bond.
Perfect for Customizing Retro and Modern Gear
In addition to jerseys, you can use these SFA logos on backpacks, laptop sleeves, or even denim vests. Since it has a durable finish, it withstands frequent machine washes. However, we recommend a few small stitches around the corners if you apply it to heavy canvas or match-day bags to ensure it stays in place forever.

APPROPRIATE MATERIALS: Heat seal to cotton or cotton/poly fabrics. Do NOT apply to rayon, nylon or tri-acetate fabrics or any fabric that is heat sensitive.
PRE-WASH every item as many manufacturers treat fabrics and that treatment will prevent adherence if not washed off first!
Using a Household Iron:
- Pre-heat iron to the med-high cotton temperature setting (without steam) and select a hard, flat pressing surface (not a padded ironing board).
- Position patch on pre-washed garment and cover with a cotton cloth or patch pressing sheet.
- Using iron, apply constant pressure to pressing sheet for 30-40 seconds (no back and forth).
- Turn garment inside out and repeat, pressing directly on garment to heat though back of patch.
- Enjoy! (the glue on your new patch should last for about 50 washes)
*If you have difficulty with adherence, increase heat, length of press and pressure.
CARE: Once applied, appliques are permanently attached to garments and are washable. We recommend turning items inside out and washing in Cold, on Delicate and hanging dry to preserve the longevity of your decor.
Using a Heat Press:
1. 350 degrees for 30-40 Seconds (Medium pressure) Or 375 degrees for 20-25 Seconds (Med-Hard pressure). Since every press is a little different, you may need to adjust pressure or time.
